Who would have thought that a piece of jewellery could potentially save your life? If you suffer from an illness or allergy and were to collapse, how would the paramedics know that you need, or need to avoid certain medication? If you wear a Medic Alert Bracelet, there would be no need to worry.

Thankfully the only thing I know I’m allergic to is lemons and whilst the effect they have on me isn’t pleasant, it certainly isn’t life threatening! However, my Grandad had diabetes, so if had fallen into a diabetic coma, one of these bracelets could have given the paramedics the information they needed to treat him quickly.

This site is new to the UK and allows customers to chose their own style of jewellery. It’s possible to choose a charm bracelet rather than a traditional bracelet, or even a necklace or watch instead. Once the metal (or if you’d prefer a just a strap) is chosen, each is then individually sized, which is great for people like me with skinny wrists!

As there’s no set words or phrases to use, you can choose how much information you feel is necessary to be engraved on to your personalised item.

Tomorrow, we’re officially into the second half of the year and I’ve read about half of the books I’m meant to have done at this point! I’ve also got really bad at writing up my reviews, but when I have a spare few minutes I will definitely do so! In the meantime, I am updating my 888 page (link on the left) each time i finish a book.

My niece, Siama, is also very bright, in that she has a lovely, sunny personality and also very clever, so she can be called as bright as a button I feel I should also point out that she is much more grown up now and too big for Barbie!

I’m not convinced that this is a definite guide to understanding philosophy, but it touches on the main ideas and the jokes used to illustrate the points are usually quite good. The collaboration of the authors works well to give an entertaining yet informative read. One I’d definitely recommend to any one wishing to dip their toes into understanding what philosophy is about.
