If you’re looking to register a domain name, then take a look at this site. Unlike most that are based in the UK where you only get the usual dot uk or dom com extensions, this site offers sites American and Australian extensions amongst others. There’s also a really helpful guide explaining what each domain traditionally represents (click here to go there).
I was very impressed with the price to register a dot com domain name, it’s only £5.14 a year. As the site caters for multinational sites, you can choose the currency the prices are given in, which is always helpful when working out costs. If you’re buying more than one domain or want to register for more than one year, there’s a chance to get extra discounts as well.
If your chosen domain is already taken, you can use the ‘who is’ facility to see who already has the domain name and when it’s due to expire. The site will also automatically suggest alternatives for you.
In addition to the domain registration, the site offers web hosting in a choice of 4 packages to meet individual requirements, the cheapest working out to be only £2.42 per month over 12 months.

Whenever I see a a band play that I’ve seen before, a part of me is always concerned that it won’t be as good as the last time and I’ll end up disappointed. luckily this didn’t happen last night and I love every single second of it! My feet and neck hurt today from bouncing around so much! Highlight of the night had to be My December, was beautiful *huge grin*
Any of my photohunting friends that also do the Friday Feast will have read my rant last week about my boiler. We live in a rented house and the boiler is 20+ years old. This may not sound very old, but in boiler years it makes ours about 1000 years old minimum! The boiler has now broken down on us 4 times in the last year and last week the boiler man actually put on his report it was beyond economical repair! I need to get Rupert to chase the estate agents on this one as we need a new boiler asap…I’m not allowed to speak to the estate agents in case I kill someone! So my entry for the ‘old fashioned’ photo hunt has to be my boiler:

Appetizer
How many times per day do you usually laugh?

What do your sunglasses look like?
I tend to lose my sunglasses, so buy new ones each time i go on holiday from the airport, it’s not like I need to use them at home!

You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?
As long as i didn’t have to worry about being paid whilst I was on holiday, a sight seeing tour of all of Europe would be nice, even if it was by train.
Main Course
Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.
Football, I live 15 minutes away from Edgeley park where my team play
Dessert
If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
purple, although in the UK blue is rare as it’s usually grey
I chose this book as I like reading autobiographies; it satisfies the nosey part of me. Whilst my Nan used to be found twitching at the curtains, I’m happy enough reading other people’s versions of their own lives.
Before reading this all I knew about Russell Brand was that he was that annoying bloke from Big Brother who was always appearing in the gossip columns for sleeping with random women and seemed to be famous for that more that anything to do with talent.
From reading the book, I understand more of his personality and the events that formed it and created the bloke he is today. However, Brand comes across as a walking ego and isn’t very believable when he changes from stories of drug addicted madness to cleaning up after a stint in rehab as his manager forced him to go!
It is funny in parts and if you are a fan of his definitely worth a read, if you don’t know who he is and aren’t too impressed by drug fueled daftness, stay well clear!
If you have your own blog or website and are interested in finding about more information about your visitors, you should have a look at this site. As well as providing visitor counters (in a variety of designs), you also get to see the browser each visitor is using, their screen resolution and their IP address. You are also given information about how visitors reached your site, such as the page they came from and the 10 last made searches . The service is free and you can access you statistics at any time.
I know a lot of sites offer this service, but this one also allows users to build polls for their sites and add clocks as well as other tools. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up and then you have all of these tools available to use, play with and test until your heart’s content.
This site is still in the development stages, but aims to be ‘most comprehensive on-line poker resource on the planet ‘. Unlike most of the other review sites, this is purely for poker and in blog format, based on Wordpress (much like my own site), meaning it is very easy to navigate.
Once completed, the site aims to provide a complete list of poker rules, details about the history of the game and information about tournaments taking place. This sounds like a pretty big project to me, but you can see the beginnings are there in the categories already chosen and if the authors achieve their aim, it will definitely be the one stop for all poker needs.
A couple of new posts have already appeared this week giving an insight in playing poker and the strategy involved, as well as more information about the professionals involved.
Like I said initially, it is a work in progress,so you do have to keep that in mind whilst visiting, but still worth a look for any poker fans or wannabe players.
