Talon – The Best of Eagles

Last night we went to see talon at The Plaza in Stockport. I wasn’t sure how many songs I’d recognise apart from Hotel California, so was pleasantly surprised to have been able to sing along with most of them, even Neil drummed his fingers along to a couple
The band are celebrating their 10th year anniversary, which isn’t bad for a tribute group!
You can find more details about Talon here
Photohunt – Pink
Later than usual, but here none the less is my week’s entry! this week the theme is pink, not being the most girliest of girls, I wasn’t sure what to post for this one! We had a pink dress down day on Friday for cancer Awareness month and the best i could do was pink socks!
So I had a look thru my pics and found this one: It’s the flowers we put on Grandad’s grave a few months back, including some pink ones!

Feast One Hundred & Sixty Six
Closer to Sunday lunch, than Friday feast but never mind:
Appetizer
Name a great website you would recommend to others.
Blogshares – it’s an online game where you trade shares in blogs, lots more to it than that, a bit for everyone to enjoy and very addictive! have a look, even if it’s just to see if your blog is listed and how much it’s worth!
Soup
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 as highest), how often do you dream at night?
9 – i hardly ever remember them and when i do they tend to be a bit bizarre…
Salad
Did you have a pet as a child? If so, what kind and what was its name?
My mum was mean and wouldn’t let us have pets, but my Godmother had a house full of dogs and she let me adopt one – a Jack Russell called Joely, he lived well into his teen years
Main Course
If you had the chance to star in a commercial, what would you choose to advertise?
Depends how much are they paying me?
Dessert
What is your favorite kind of hard candy?
Chocolate limes, even though I usually cut my tongue on them!
Last Day at smile
I took 14 calls, so that was an achievement! I don’t think it’s actually sank in that I’m not going back yet…got in to be greeted by Hodg, who gave me my card from the service centre and a letter from herself and to be told, we have done a collection, but haven’t bought you anything yet lol
Did have a bit of a nostalgic walk around the office and it did feel very strange having to hand my pass in. I was glad it was Les on security as I’ve always got on with him, mainly as he works weekends and I wind him up for sleeping on the job! Also got a huge hug from Paul the other guard
My final call was a nice man, can’t even remember what he wanted, so no big arguement *evil laugh*
Then afterwards was a combined 12-8 and 1-9 trip to Sanjoys. Have taken pics, will do a new gallery for all of the pics from my last week once I get chance
First day on the new job
Ok, so it’s really Saturday night and I’m post blogging, but it has been a very hectic week! Had a great first day, really get on well with Rach, who’s doing the training and the other people in my training group. Found out that one of the girls, Jo, used to live round the corner from Nan and was in the year above me at Cherry.
Had quite an easy day, just being shown around and going through the normal first day stuff, will be learning more about insurance and the actual job during the rest of the week. Only downside is having to work 2 jobs, as I’m knackered!
Smile reuinion pics
Photohunt – practical
I’m posting really early as I’m out tonight and then have my last weekend working at smile! For practical, i’ve chosen a pic of my trainers, they’re nice and comfy to wear…

Unlike these boots that I’m wearing tonight which may practically kill me

Rupert was offended that i wasn’t going to post a pic of him, so as i did take the mick out of him in last week’s post, here is my ever practical house mate:
