Good film! Quite a lot was missed out from the book and some of the events have been put in a different order, but still easy enough to watch
Now if I didn’t have a million other films on the to watch list, this one may have had to had a second viewing…

Today I traded Ste in for Sarah and she came out for a flick and curry. We saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Uusally I’m not the keen on Jim Carrey films, but this one was his attempt at serious acting so thought it worth a look. Not convinced though, the word that stuck in my mind about it was ‘weird’. It seemed to try too hard to be a thought provoking film. I liked the idea behind the film, but just got the feeling something was missing from it.
Ho hum on the plus point after 16 years of trying, I’ve found a curry that Sarah likes. She says she wants to go back to Sanjoys, not sure if that’s because she enjoyed the meal, or because she wants another lolly though!

The housemates seem more of a mix this year than last, I can’t see them staying friends for long. Good first challenge though – each housemate had to nominate one of them not to receive their suitcase for the duration of their stay in the house. I was glad Kitten got the most nominations, I think she’ll make good viewing, but is already starting to annoy me, even more so than the Scouser did last year.
Personally I would have nominated Jason for being vain enough to enter the house only wearing a thong!
Does anyone else think Shell’s going to be this years Nush?
Keep your finger’s crossed for me, I have my mock at college today
The scarier thought is this means we have 2 weeks off, then the final lesson before the real thing! :O
edit: 13.34: Didn’t go as well as I’d hoped it would. Make a rookie error with the pictures – I missed the fact the person used a minicom and so was deaf, so my story was factually incorrect. The role play went OK in that I understood what Mandy was signing, but I didn’t cover some of the questions, so was marked down on that bit and the comprehension was a near disaster. Ho hum off to hide in my folder and revise for the next month…
Hooray Hooray
Tis profit share today….
Tis the one day of the year that I feel rich for the majority of the day, until I’ve mentally spent my bank balance and more!
Ho hum off out tonight so won’t be feeling quite as rich tomorrow.

Finger’s crossed for Sarah who starts her GCSE’s today. I believe her first exam is RE – Mark’s Gospel

“A dark tale based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos, one of America’s first female serial killers. Wuornos had a difficult and cruel childhood plagued by abuse and drug use in Michigan. She became a prostitute by the age of thirteen, the same year she became pregnant. She eventually moved to Florida where she began earning a living as a highway prostitute–servicing the desires of semi-truck drivers. The tale focuses on the nine month period between 1989 and 1990, during which Wuornos had a lesbian relationship with a woman named Selby. And during that very same time, she also began murdering any of her clientele who attempted to rape her. This turned the tables on a rather common phenomena of female highway prostitutes being the victims of serial killers–instead Wuornos, herself, carried out the deeds of a cold-blooded killer.”
Possibly a bit dark for some audiences, but I enjoyed this one…and am getting Batty to like pyschological thrillers!
Now if you say Royal Mail to most people, they’ll start complaining at how 1st class post now arrives at 11 o clock. I leave for work after miday and usually find my post waiting for me on my return home. So lateness isn’t an issue – it’s the norm. I try not to slag off posties after working with many of the ones that deliver round Brebury when I was at the Newsagents.
This one though had to be blogged…. More for the amusement value than the rant.
I’ve just got in to find a pile of post on my doorstep. Slightly baffled as I usually only get a couple of letters a day. Then I realised why. Some companies have problems with my address as it used to be a factory. When it was demolished the houses were built and numbered 2A to 2K. I live at 2H. The post I received was for not just me, but both my next door neighbours! I might not have a number on the doors (the brass numbers are still sat on the window ledge in the kitchen), but both 2K and 2G do.
For more amusement, it looks like one of my letters had been via Offerton, as there was a nice note on the envelope saying ‘read the Bredbury bit’.
Apparently we won 3-0
I wouldn’t know personally as am sat in work (grrrr) in a lovely office with 2 tvs that don’t work
Ho Hum s’pose I can watch the highlights later…..
